Some of the best remixes lately are coming from Sweden native, Laidback Luke. In fact some of the best music lately is coming from Laidback Luke. Earlier this year he remade Show Me Love with Steve Angello. He was in on my favorite song of the summer, Leave the World Behind, with Sebastian Ingrosso, Steve Angello, and Axwell. Recently he’s been remixing some of my favorite songs and completely changing them and adding his personal flair, which is so original each time it’s difficult for me to define what his personal flair is. This post features 3 of his latest remixes and includes the music video of the originals.

1.

First is the remix to MSTRKRFT and John Legend’s Heartbreaker. I actually heard this remix a while ago but I was too ignorant to appreciate it on the first listen. When I heard it the second time about a month later, it became one of my favorites. Original music video first…

2.

Laidback Luke remixed Tiesto’s big hit single of the summer, I Will Be Here. Tiesto’s version is excellent but Laidback Luke brings out the best parts of the song in his remix and converts it to electro house, so it is a must have. The original music video is excellent too.

3.

Laidback Luke shows his diversity when he remixes this electro rap song from Dizzee Rascal. Holiday, produced by Calvin Harris was a breakout single this summer but Laidback Luke super clubifies it. As soon as the original came out I was anxious to see who could pull off something like this remix. Well done, Luke.

Dancing Astronaut foreshadowing: Stay tuned for a smash hit from Laidback Luke that should be coming out any day. He played it at one of his recent sets but we won’t post it until we can get our hands on a good copy of the song.
