Swedish House Mafia’s ‘Don’t You Worry Child’ to be released July 16th (update: nope)

Since proclaiming that their new production will make grown men cry, Swedish House Mafia has kept quiet on any other details surrounding their upcoming single. The trio told MTV News months back that they finished the production in March, while drawing inspiration from the beach in Sydney, Australia. Later, in an episode of Behind The Booth, Sebastian Ingrosso exclusively revealed to Dancing Astronaut  that they hoped to premier the production at Coachella. Since missing that deadline, however, the track has become as elusive as Eric Prydz’s airplane travels in the world of EDM.

Well, according to Music Week Magazine’s release chart, the information we’ve been waiting for has been revealed. Swedish House Mafia’s sixth official single will be titled “Don’t You Worry Child” and is scheduled to be released July 16th on Virgin Records. In retrospect, the answer was in front of our faces all along, in the form of a cryptic tweet from the SHM camp on March 9th. Mark your calendars and let the countdown begin.

So, how much do you want to bet they open with it at Milton Keynes Bowl on July 14th?

Update: We’ve been informed by management that the track will not be out on July 14th. When asked for an updated release date, we were told that there isn’t one yet…
