Swedish House Mafia’s ‘Don’t You Worry Child’ finally debuted by Pete Tong (update: US release September 18)

After weeks of listening to terrible quality rips on YouTube from Milton Keynes Bowl, the day has finally come for a proper preview of the Swedish House Mafia’s upcoming — and perhaps final — single, “Don’t You Worry Child.” The song, premiered on Pete Tong’s Essential Selection, has lived up to the massive expectations set by the Swedish trio. “Don’t You Worry Child” is a gorgeous progressive house tune that features the magnificent vocals of John Martin.

With “Don’t You Worry Child,” Axwell, Steve and Sebastian have seemed to have found a happy medium in between the piano chord dominated house tunes that they made their name with, like “Leave The World Behind,” and their more recent big-room synth heavy efforts like “Greyhound.” While there is still some debate as to whether this is in fact their last single, as fans of the Swedish House Mafia from the very beginning, we really hope that it is not. There is no word yet on a release date, but you can be sure that we will let you know as soon as we do.

Update: The official release date is now set for September 14th in the Europe (except UK), Asia, and Australia, Sept 18th in the US, and October 7th in the UK. Official album artwork is up as well.
