French DJ/producer Agoria has released his much anticipated Scala EP for Dixon & Âme’s Innervisions — his first original work in two years. The title track, “Scala,” has been in constant rotation from the likes of DJ Tennis, Damian Lazarus, Tale of Us, among others. This timeless piece has all the qualities of a stripped down, melodic gem. The track is rich with an emotional melody and features flawless rhythmic progression. The collaboration with Francesco Tristano on “Kick The Peace” is a bit more downtempo, using brooding chords and spacey synths to make a quirky yet mesmerizing release. Original works from Agoria are few and far between, but this EP shows why it’s always well worth the wait.
