DA’s Sunday Morning Medicine

Sunday Morning Medicine is a feature from Dancing Astronaut dedicated to the mellower side of electronic music. We bring you our favorite therapeutic selections — old and new — in an attempt to alleviate the agonizing effects of a long weekend of partying.

To help you relax after the shock of last night’s DJ Mag results, this week’s Sunday Morning Medicine is comprised of smooth remixes from artists like Classixx, Digital Cassette, Pretty Pink, The Golden Pony and Henry Green.

1. Classixx has released their newest Future Classic remix this time of Panama’s blissful “Always.” Deep guitar riffs and a sullen groove are added to the original making it simply irresistible.

2. Germany’s Digital Cassette takes on Flight Facilities melodic hit “Clair de Lune” and turns it into a deep house mix with a haunting vibe.

3. Pretty Pink twists Major Lazer‘s “Get Free” into her own unique cover with a downtempo, deep house vibe straight from the underground clubs of Germany.

4. Brooklyn’s The Golden Pony add their funky take to the classic 80’s synth-pop track “Tears for Fears” complete with rolling bass lines and disco nuances.

5. Remember MGMT’s “Electric Feel”? Henry Green has revamped the classic song with a tropical, nu disco retake by Kygo.
