DA’s Sunday Morning Medicine: Volume 54
This week’s edition of Sunday Morning Medicine is for the wounded and weary. Thanks to some rapturous Above & Beyond and KOAN Sound, weekend rehabilitation never sounded so refreshing. Afterwards, we lift the spirits with Le Youth’s take on Sam Smith along with two mesmerizing tracks from Anjunadeep favorites Lane 8 and Erkka.
1. Ok, starting with Above & Beyond’s acoustic rendition of “You Got to Go” may be a little soporific, but I’m sure upon immersing yourself in Zoë Johnston’s voice you’ll quickly forgive us.
2. If you enjoyed the orchestral bliss of KOAN Sound’s Sanctuary EP, their remix to “Green & Blue” from the Halo 4 soundtrack employs a similarly cinematic approach.
3. Sam Smith’s catchy single “Money On My Mind” gets a suave makeover from Le Youth.
4. A standout Anjunadeep track from the year, Lane 8’s “Be Mine” is immaculate deep house with a soulful edge.
5. Another Anjunadeep asset, Erkka provides us with something a bit deeper and groovier for early morning introspection.
