When a song as soulfully crafted as Duke Dumont‘s “Won’t Look Back” comes around, it can be hard to create a new version of the track without the quality suffering. Disco Fries and Aylen have taken Duke’s deep house summer jam, however, and successfully reworked it into a faster, harder, edgier rendition. Immediately dropping the piano riffs and slapping on some filthy, deep synths, Disco Fries and Aylen create a sound that’s so sharp it could slice the beat in half. Towards the end, the trio includes some ebullient hi-hats very typical of trap stylings that really shape this one into a worthwhile remix.
