RL Grime reveals ‘Scylla,’ offers official digital preorder for ‘Void’ LP
RL Grime‘s trap work is pure in its intentions. Never straying far from the basics of the genre, Henry Steinway remains a keeper of the unsullied urban sound when he steps out of the bounds of his house-oriented moniker Clockwork. “Scylla,” a follow-up to the RL Grime singles “Core” and the How To Dress Well-featured “Reminder,” lands on the Void LP with blasting brass and clean 808 hits. The LA native is keeping fans on their toes as to the direction of his album with “Scylla.”
Together with his WeDidIt team, Henry Steinway has slowly revealed his artistic vision for Void through a mix of trailers, teasers, and official music videos. His live show on November 17th marks the culmination of years of work and exploration for the young star. Now available for preorder on iTunes, Void will also feature work from fellow urban influencers Djemba Djemba, Big Sean, and Boys Noize. RL Grime’s influence paired with the prime talent he has aligned to work alongside him promises a project that will reinforce the basics of the genre while electrifying and inspiring it.
