Dirtyphonics give away ‘Power Now’ ahead of Write Your Future EP
After closing out 2014 strong, French production outfit Dirtyphonics have announced their first EP of the year, scheduled to release in just over a month. Titled Write Your Future, the four-track EP features collaborations with artists ƱZ, 12th Planet, Matt Rose, Julie Hardy of Clementine and the Galaxy and rapper Trinidad Jame$.
Known for their brawny and aggressive sound, Write Your Future takes no prisoners. Suffused with Dirtyphonics’ signature heaping of bass, the EP combines elements of drum ‘n’ bass, heavy metal and trap. Leading the EP, “Power Now” ramps up the energy with a hard rock appeal and shuffling breaks. Consequently, rapper Trinidad Jame$ and trap heavyweight ƱZ lend some street-wise edge to the EP’s second single, the aptly-titled “Hustle Hard.”
Fianlly, 12th Planet and vocalist July Hardy jump in on the bass anthem “Free Fall,” wrapping up the compilation with plenty of high-octane energy. The Write Your Future EP drops on February 17 via Dim Mak Records, and “Power Now” comes early as a free download. C
