There is no shortage of “Take Ü There” remixes floating around the internet. Jack Ü‘s infectious standout release has seen its fair share of renditions, however none have been as boundary-pushing or experimental as Alesia‘s take on the track. The Parisian OWSLA-championed duo have made a name for themselves with their harrowing, dark tech masterpieces, and their latest remix follows suit perfectly. The remix barrels through heavy industrial soundscapes, warping the main stage hit into a growling metallic monster. Somewhere between hardstyle, drum n’ bass, and techno, the remix is impossible to classify.

Alesia’s remix takes menacing twists and turns as it flips its original counterpart upside down. Stripping down Kiesza‘s anthemic vocals to 8-bit speech tones, Alesia cut samples slices in from the original over hypnotic drum layers, bending the pitch into abrasive synth arrangements. On the other end of the spectrum from what Diplo and Skrillex have put together, Alesia come through with a mean imagining of their own.
