Serge Devant and Damiano unveil ‘Fearing Love,’ the first release off Jamie Jones and Lee Foss’ ‘Emerald City’
“Fearing Love,” a deep-souled record crafted by Serge Devant and Damiano, is the first release off of Jamie Jones and Lee Foss‘ newest label, Emerald City, which set off earlier this month. According to its founders, Emerald City will pinpoint melodic, vocal-tinged deep house records.
After taking a two-year break following a snowboarding accident, Devant returns to the production front with a luscious, deep-tech inspired track featuring the vocals of first time electronic music vocalist, Camille Safiya. “Fearing Love” delineates the surging popularity of shimmering basslines and darkened elements that flee from dance music’s stale sound.
Devant’s time away from producing music allowed him to further explore himself as an artist. He tells Billboard, ““After I finally decided to get back in the studio, I called my good friend Damiano and we linked up with Camille. I immediately felt a connection between us. Everyone brought their own magic to the table.”
