Snoop Dogg and Pharrell crafting a disco-inspired album

Item Image

Snoop Dogg’s recent interest in dance music first came public when he formed the EDM/hip-hop group LA Party Machine and played multiple appearances as DJ Snoopadelic. Since then, Snoop has been relatively quiet in terms of his next move within dance music, but news has surfaced that the rap legend is working with Grammy-winning artist Pharrell Williams.

The Daft Punk collaborator has already had his fair share of experience in the space of disco and seems to be continuing in that direction with Snoop right by his side. The two artists have been spotted in the studio together with Pharrell holding the position of executive producer to Snoop Dogg’s forthcoming studio, and a short video clip indicates Pharrell may be bringing the funk back to Snoop’s slick lyrical talent. Old-school fans of Snoop Dogg may be in store for a revival of his earlier G-Funk stylings.
