Size X Miami: Steve Angello to bring back Mescal Kid persona atop tech-heavy billing

Since the disbanding of Swedish House Mafia, Steve Angello has approached his Miami endeavors with only the utmost creativity. Take last year’s DECADE event — the celebration of Size Record’s 10-year anniversary hosted in the art district with an emphasis on design and culture’s musical ties. Following up the extravaganza, Angello has taken a different route this year — but with an appeal equally as attractive.

Size Record’s Miami 2015 focus is on X, the label’s imprint dedicated to the deeper, darker side of dance. Dubbed simply X MIAMI, the event will take place on Wednesday, March 25th at the Delano. Of course, Angello himself will be making an appearance, but it seems he’s feeling like a kid again.

Headlining X MIAMI, Steve will perform as his Mescal Kid persona — the most coveted alias in dance music, side by side with the ranks of Cirez D and Gaia. Mescal Kid means Angello will bring his A-game to the decks — expect chaotic, top-notch mixing, and music that will even stump your Shazam.

Supporting sets will come from artists who’ve presented themselves upon the X imprint. Talents who fit the mold of total tech-house dedication. Junior Sanchez and Todd Terry will bring their house lure to the Delano, as well as Chocolate Puma, Trent Cantrelle, Sebjax and other can’t miss dance floor commanders such as The Cube Guys, My Digital Enemy, Armand Pena and Sonny Wharton.
