Tropical house dignitary, Sam Feldt, returns to Spinnin’ Deep for a funky little tune he cooked up with fellow Dutch dyad The Him and vocalist ANGI3 titled, “Midnight Hearts.” Typically known for his sun-soaked tendencies featuring pan flutes and jaunty bongo patterns, Sam Feldt diverts from his habitual sound to test the waters in the piano-driven sub genre of “soul house.” Taking a swing at the niche genre made popular by Michael Calfan, the Dutch trio develop a paradoxical offering that uses slamming ivory chords and palpitating kick drums to confuse listeners’ ears as to whether the track would fit better at a club or festival setting.
