Early this week, Italian techno and tech-trance prodigy Alex Di Stefano introduced us to his latest work: a remix of Menno De Jong’s “Abhyasa.” As Menno De Jong is a brilliant trance artist, Di Stefano had some big shoes to fill. Rest assured, however, just as in all of his other top-notch remixes this year, Stefano was more than up to the task. By increasing the BPM and adding darker, tech elements, Alex Di Stefano has succeeded in making the song uniquely his own. The breakdown is also more intense than that of the original, making the need for release in the form of dance absolutely essential when the beat finally drops.
