Astronomar and more release music from upcoming ‘Mutant Club: Roc Mutation’ EP

Those well-versed in the Main Course catalogue are familiar with the “Mutant Club” notion, which relates to the frenzied, undefinable music created within the bizarre imprint’s camp. Lending its name to the title Astronomar‘s 2014 EP, the Neoteric-coined phrase is being repurposed to brand the group of artists at the center of the aforementioned label’s upcoming EP, Mutant Club: Roc Mutation. The 5-track EP is slated for a November 6th release date, and features songs from Astronomar, Aylen, and a number of other Main Course up-and-comers.

Currently, two songs from Roc Mutation have been released. Astronomar’s collaboration with burgeoning Dutch Producer Hasse De Moore “Wakeup” serves as Roc Mutation’s flagship track. Drawing on dutch house and moombahton influences, “Wakeup” kicks off the collection on a simplistic, but effectively anthemic note.

Also available is Main Course newcomer PNCVZ’s “Maga.” Tribally ferocious and endowed with meticulously inconsistent rhythms, “Maga” thoroughly embodies the Neoteric’s Mutant Club theme.
