Cashmere Cat shares long-awaited remix to Hudson Mohawke’s ‘Forever 1’

Roughly one year after he began using it as a popular set opener, Cashmere Cat has finally shared his chilled-out remix to Hudson Mohawke. His reconstruction of “Forever 1” airs on the haunting side with ethereal vocal accents and gentle piano keys playing out the track’s central melody. Less boisterous than the original rendition, Cashmere Cat’s cover works perfectly in its purpose as an opener, providing an emotive and relaxing listen. Though no official release date has been announced, the producer did state in the clip’s description that fall in New York had brought him significant musical inspiration and that he’s “working on a lot of new music.”
