The dawn of Autumn marked The Game’s awaited return to the rap world after a decade-long hiatus. Recognizing a changing musical landscape where electronic elements reign, the rapper paired up with accomplished modern hit-maker Skrillex to release their earth-shattering clip “El Chapo” in anticipation of the Documentary 2‘s release.

Boldly taking up the challenge of remixing what’s considered one of 2015’s heaviest track records, QUIX and Party Thieves created a monster of their own in their rendition of “El Chapo.” Thundering bass hits even harder than it’s predecessor’s beats, rattling the spine as it dramatically drops into short bursts of synth melody and rolling high hats. Leaning in an EDM direction, Party Thieves and QUIX lighten the original’s gangster rap energy and re-work the track into a trap anthem. The remix is available for free download here.
