New York-based promoter Blkmarket Membership launches its own label
Blkmarket Membership, a New York-based event producer revered among the underground house and techno community, has made its first foray into the world of record labels. Nightlife veterans Taimur Agha and Fahad Halder are heavily lauded for bringing dance music’s top-tier talent to Le Bain, Output, The Well, and summertime boat parties that cruise along the Hudson River.
In honor of its 10th anniversary, the collective will soon launch its self-titled label. Sergio Dimoff, also a native New Yorker, will be the first of many to release music on Blkmarket Membership. His debut Black Cell EP is slated for a November 30 release, with local producer Todd Sines, Craig Richards, and Convextion to follow suit.
