Red Bull Music Academy postpones shows in Paris following attacks

Following the horrific attacks in Paris on Friday night, Red Bull Music Academy has announced that all public shows will be on hold until November 19. At the behest of the French authorities, the shows have been delayed for security reasons. Venues throughout the city have been closed for the time being as well.

Red Bull Music Academy’s Paris headquarters are located at La Gaite Lyrique, a short distance from the Bataclan. The Bataclan was one of the sites of the Friday attacks where 89 people were killed at a concert including a French music journalist, record label employee, and merchandise vendor.

Thankfully, the Academy’s participants were confirmed safe via Twitter following the attacks. The events originally scheduled for this week include a lecture by Jean Michel Jarre, a ballroom party with Vjuan Allure and Teki Latex, and a live show featuring Nozinja.
