Yellow Shoots – More Alive (feat. Mayo) (Original Mix)
Yellow Shoots, also known as Brooklyn-based producer Greg Matthews, has been developing his fusion of dance and hip-hop for the past two years. He got his technical bearings working with soul singer and producer Ryan Toby, and producing at Philadelphia’s Sigma Sounds. His latest single, “More Alive,” is the fifth single and title track off of his More Alive EP.
“More Alive” an amalgamation of Yellow Shoots’ R&B-grounded background and current dance influences. Los Angeles-based MC Mayo provides an easy-flowing vocal over syncopated percussion and guitar chords. The soulful result is a perfect soundtrack to a mellow night.
