Citizenn – Lady (wAFF Remix)
Having released a remix on Damian Lazarus’ Crosstown Rebels imprint in 2014, English talent Citizenn returned to the label a year later in June 2015 to release his full-length album, Human Interface. It’s closer, a deep piece aided by Aisha’s sultry vocals called “Lady,” has now received remix treatment from three reputable acts in the underground world.
Drumcode favorite wAFF was among those chosen, adding a tech house edge to the output. Various drum samples add rhythmic complexity to the re-work, adding a hint of island appeal to the original’s mysterious topline. Released on January 22 as an EP, “Lady” and its accompanying remixes can be purchased here.
