2015 saw Maidstone house heavyweight and founding Toolroom cohort Mark Knight hit a new precedent in studio output, channeling both his underground and crossover demons alongside Adrian Hour and making with blistering Suara original debut turned Essential New Tune ‘Second Story’ alike. The long serving DJ/producer is obviously feeling a little nostalgic about the year passed, making with retrospective album A Year In The Life and pledging all proceeds to to the uber deserving War Child charity. Teaming up with returning Toolroom cohort Cevin Fisher, the album’s exclusive cut ‘Rocket Man’ fuses the pounding club sensibilities we have come to anticipate from everything Knight touches right now with some subtle hints of the sharp melodic house work that hallmarked his rise to global notoriety. If this fresh original effort is anything to by, the good vibes that followed Mark Knight’s productions throughout 2015 are far from spent.
