OWSLA-signed singer/songwriter, Mark Johns, made strides last year when she landed her sultry voice on collaborations with electronic buffs Glitch Mob and Lemaitre. Starting off the year with the first single via Skrillex’s label, the LA-based vocalist follows up “BTFU (Mommy Issues)” with a tribute to the late Amy Winehouse by covering her famous “Rehab.”

According to the SoundCloud description, Mark Johns naturally found herself singing Winehouse’s lyrics over Tennyson’s instrumental “No Answer” and the end product birthed something unique. Although much mellower than Winehouse’s legendary original, Mark Johns’ modern day reimagination morphs her robust yet comforting croons with the tranquil nature of future R&B to yield the perfect mind-calming output.
