The Knocks – Love Me Like That (feat. Carly Rae Jepsen)

The day has almost come for the nu disco duo The Knocks to release their much-anticipated debut album, 55. Slated for release on March 4, 2016, the album is as star-studded as a record can get, much less a debut album. With a number of singles already released off of 55, including collaborations with Wyclef Jean, Cam’ron, and of course the sensational “I Wish (My Taylor Swift)” with Matthew Koma, very little doubt remains that The Knocks will deliver one of the albums of the year.

Adding to the pool of big names is a relaxed and funky tune featuring Carly Rae Jepsen, which shows that she has moved past the “Call Me Maybe” stage in her career and is looking to break new ground. With “Love Me Like That,” as with most of their new tracks, The Knocks do a stellar job bridging the gap between pop and the funkier side of electronic music. Not only does this allow The Knocks to appeal to a much larger audience, but gives the pop singer a good starting point for building her reputation in the quickly growing electronic music industry.

Although somewhat surprising to their older fans, the New York duo recently announced that they’ve signed with Scooter Braun, one of the biggest players in the pop music industry. It comes as no surprise that Braun also happens to represent Carly Rae Jepsen.

Stay tuned for the release of 55 on March 4
