Rødhåd makes a powerful debut on the Essential Mix

Germany’s Rødhåd burst onto the techno scene as a leader in the industrial side of the genre, wielding his label Dystopian as a tool to carefully build his musical vision over the years. Paired with heavy DJing experiences from his titular parties in Berlin — not to mention residing behind Berghain’s decks on a regular basis — the red-headed talent has reached a prime spot in his career.

Rødhåd’s legend has only continued to grow into the new year, landing him a debut on Pete Tong’s Essential Mix. The German producer emulates the energy present in Ben Klock’s mix the year prior, taking listeners on a two-hour expedition through warehouse-worthy new releases mixed with classics that have influenced his sound. Crackling bass, heavy percussion, and downplayed synths resound throughout its entirety as the Berliner leads the listener into a deep, energized trance.
