Skrillex and Diplo sweep both EDM categories at the Grammys
Jack Ü have officially taken home two Grammys for Best Dance Recording and Best Dance/Electronic Album.
The duo’s eponymous album, composed of hits including “Beats Knockin,” “Take Ü There,” and “Where Are Ü Now,” beat out those of contenders Caribou, The Chemical Brothers, Disclosure, and Jamie xx. Meanwhile, “Where Are Ü Now” triumphed over the likes of Above & Beyond’s “We’re All We Need” and Flying Lotus’ “Never Catch Me,” among others. Considering the superduo’s gargantuan presence throughout the music industry in 2015, the news comes as no surprise to electronic music fans.
Serving as Jack Ü’s first two Grammys since their inception, the coveted awards mark Skrillex’s eighth Grammy to date.
