Solarstone and Giuseppe Ottaviani release 3rd single as PureNRG

Giuseppe Ottaviani and Solarstone are both legends in their own right when it comes to trance. Solarstone has been leading the Pure Trance movement for the past five years, while Giuseppe Ottaviani has earned high recognition for his revolutionary live set ups during shows. Finding a common ground in their musical vision, PureNRG was born in 2014 as a platform for them to share a new concept of trance performance to their fans. Their rare appearances and productions under the alias have led PureNRG to become one of the most beloved and followed acts in the genre.

The two now have a pleasant surprise in store for fans: a third single. “Secret of the Sahara” is what we’ve come to expect from PureNRG, combining careful synth work and an airy topline for yet another well-produced uplifting trance piece. What ties “Secret Of The Sahara” together, however, is the sweeping orchestral breakdown. Ottaviani and Solarstone managed to procure a sample from Oscar-nominated composer Ennio Morricone, known for his work composing various movie scores including The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly and The Exorcist. Morricone has not allowed his work to be used in electronic music in over 20 years.

“Secret of the Sahara” will be debuted in full during Aly & Fila’s Essential Mix on February 13 and released through Black Hole Recordings on February 28.
