Animal Picnic found a rightful home among the Steyoyoke family in 2014 and have since unleashed a number of quality tracks that fully embrace the “ethereal techno” ethos purveyed by the label. A month after their four-track-long Sinopsia, the duo’s latest appearance is on Steyoyoke’s Coalescence compilation LP. Their collaboration with BLANCAh on “Fractals” is a shining addition to their repertoire, working tropical accents into complex and entrancing melodies propelled by rich bass. BLANCAh’s dissonant vocals blend smoothly into the production to further enhance the vibe Animal Picnic created. “Fractals,” along with the rest of Coalescence will be released on March 11.
