Full Moon Fest to return to Governor’s Island as a two-day festival

Prepare to dry clean your Free People rompers, as Full Moon Fest will return to Governor’s Island with a new and expanded lineup. After five sold out years, the MATTE projects brainchild will take place across not one, but two sun-drenched days this summer. Full Moon 2016 will host festivities on Governor’s Island once more after a slightly misguided detour through industrial Bushwick last year.

Known for its Balearic sensibilities, inevitably barefoot partygoers will dance freely on the island’s beachfront, backlit by the Manhattan skyline. The Full Moon lineup is likely to impress as last year’s lineup saw Yelle, Tensnake, MOTHXR, and Soul Clap headline the Brooklyn Mirage with other local talent.

Although official lineup, performance, and food details have yet to be released, early bird tickets for August 20-21 are available now at the Full Moon website.
