Paul Woolford uncovers rare Aphex Twin sets from ’92/’93
“Cleaning out the dark corners and found this racket,” said Paul Woolford on his most recent musical discovery: a dual-side tape containing rare Aphex Twin gems from the early ’90s.
The first side of the tape contains the Irish legend’s appearance on John Peel’s radio show “Peel Sessions” in 1992, traversing across a series of acidic breakbeat bootlegs. The second side of the tape is a performance at Sheffield Hallam University in 1993, which begins on an ambient note before diving into harder hitting zones of techno and more breaks.
