Pirupa shares his tech house-heavy Essential Mix debut

Tech house afficionado, Pirupa, celebrated his birthday in style this year by having it coincide with his debut BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix. In a Facebook post ahead of the mix, Pirupa described the role that Pete Tong and his Essential Mix series played in his early career: “It helped me get closer to Dance Music and the Dance world, that’s why I will always be grateful for how much It motivated me throughout my journey and honored for the chance they will give me next week. So dreams really come true.”

Using his two hours expertly, Pirupa showcases some prime cuts of percussive heaven that keep the beat pulsing practically non-stop, showing the world why he is one of Pete Tong’s favorite Italian DJs and producers. Featuring tracks such as “Big Discs” from Eats Everything, to the funkier side of Cirez D with “The Journey,” Pirupa continuously propagates an undeniably mature, yet casual, energy.
