Steve Aoki and Headhunterz create ‘Feel (The Power of Now)’ for ‘Point Break’

Steve Aoki has dipped his hand into an assortment of musical projects as of late, spanning from his announcement of a project with Bill Nye to his recent Jamaican-inspired dance piece with Snoop Lion. In 2015 he added film soundtracks to his résumé, first contributing to The Hive’s soundtrack, and now another, with the official release of “Feel (The Power of Now),” which made it into the official soundtrack for the end-of-year crime film Point Break.

“Feel” is another collaborative effort, with the cake-throwing extraordinaire pairing with ex-hardstyle magnate Headhunterz to create a raucous dancefloor banger. The track follows an unsurprising “build-drop-build-drop” structure, employing passionate vocals, explosive synths, and a dramatic drop. The track’s simplistic nature is a methodical formula for the performer, and will surely meld effortlessly into his future festival headliner sets.
