Zeds Dead announce new imprint ‘Deadbeats,’ share new collaboration with Freddie Gibbs

Dubstep pioneers Zeds Dead kept themselves extremely busy in 2015. However, in spite of their constant touring and steady stream of high profile mixes and diverse releases over the last year, it seems that the Canadian duo of Dylan Mamid and Zach Rapp-Rovan have plans for an even more prolific 2016.

Zeds Dead have announced the impending establishment of their own label, to be deemed “Deadbeats.” In conjunction with their imprint announcement, Zeds Dead have shared “Back Home,” their collaboration with veteran rapper Freddie Gibbs.

For “Back Home,” Dylan and Zach bow out of the spotlight, choosing to craft their metallically melodic production as a backdrop to the dominant focal point of Gibbs’ vocals. “Back Home” is the first single from Zeds Dead’s forthcoming full length album, slated for release on their Deadbeats imprint mid-2016.

Alongside the aforementioned announcements, Zeds Dead have confirmed that they will be hosting parties in Austin and Miami on March 16 and 17, respectively. These events will feature a variety of high profile acts and up-and-comers, ranging from Destructo and Just Blaze to REZZ and Hunter Siegel, perhaps cueing followers in to some potential acts to expect on the Deadbeats roster.
