AC Slater offers title track from new EP on OWSLA
LA’s bass house guru, AC Slater, is linking up with Skrillex‘s OWLSA imprint for a second EP. The new project, Bass Inside, has AC enlisting work from TT The Artist and Chris Lorenzo, spanning three original new tracks. A key player in putting the LA party scene on the map, AC Slater’s dark after hours-primed bass theme gushes from the title track and sets the tone for the rest of the EP.
“Bass Inside” has a sinister creep to it, stapled to a wobbling, wiry bassline. Chopping in the obligatory hype samples for a hunkering club cut, the Night Bass founder’s funky blend of G-house and garage influence pumps through the track ahead of the EP’s April 28 release date. Acing another brooding dance piece, OWSLA and AC continue to be a perfect pairing.
