What So Not to play surprise Coachella set

The enormity of Coachella inevitably results in some of the biggest moments in music each year. Celebrity cameos, band reunions, and even holograms have lead fans to being just as excited about the festival’s unannounced performances as the actual scheduled ones.

The DoLab stage this year is of particular intrigue. Upon unveiling set times for Weekend 1, four slots on the stage’s listings throughout the weekend were listed as “surprise.” Popular speculation had been centered around a possible Sasha & Digweed performance, but a suggestive post on What So Not’s Facebook page seems to have confirmed at least one of the blank spaces.

“I may be doing a surprise set at Coachella tomorrow. I may be bringing some special guests. I may be premiering new music,” What So Not said. Though nothing is confirmed regarding his not-so-subtle announcement — particularly the location of his implied performance — one highly plausible reality is that the Australian future bass pioneer will be closing out the DoLab on Friday. Wherever he performs, fans will certainly be in for a treat.
