Justin Jay & Friends – Karma (JJ’s Late Nite Dub)

Justin Jay & Friends was born out of a desire to deviate from the norm. Seeking inspiration from the musical styles of his closet cohorts, Justin Jay has released a series of tracks that all lean house, yet also employ a variety of live elements, namely vocals, guitar, and drums.

The first original to come from the project was the groovy, jungle influenced “Karma,” and now Jay has provided an alternate take on the track in the form of “Karma (JJ’s Late Nite Dub).” Easily the most electronic-centric release to come from the project so far, Jay has effectively extended the original into a shadowy, more melodic and club-ready affair. Grounding the track with a dark bassline and undulating synths, then toning down the prominent tribal and percussive elements from the original, Jay continues to showcase the range and versatility of his sound with each release.
