Deadmau5 has been hard at work over the past couple of months. While his endless stream SoundCloud uploads have provided a window into his creative process, Joel Zimmerman has truly shone with the inaugural episodes of his new Beats 1 Radio show, Mau5trap Presents.

For Episode 3, the Canadian stalwart decided to shake things up with a blast from the past: Motorhead’s rock classic, “Ace of Spades,” which Zimmerman notably employed to close his Ultra performance from the ASOT stage in March. After transitioning into Daft Punk’s “Alive,” deadmau5 takes the first hour to showcase his beloved curation, before welcoming label favorites REZZ and No Mana to jump in for back-to-back guest mixes on the second half.

Both of the Niagara Falls-bred producers take advantage of the spotlight to debut a slew of unreleased cuts from their respective studio vaults for two mind-bending guest mixes. Deadmau5 finishes the show by teasing fans that next week’s episode will feature a guest mix from Matt Lange.
