Splendour In The Grass announces electronic-heavy 2016 lineup

Australia’s music scene has taken a couple big blows in 2016, most recently with the cancellation of the infamous Stereosonic for the upcoming year. But things aren’t all bad down under. Splendour in the Grass just dropped its talent roster for 2016, putting together one of the largest and most diverse lineups of the year. The Strokes and The Avalanches will play their only Australian appearances of the year at North Byron Parklands while other headlining slots are being filled by Flume, The Cure, and James Blake.

Always led by a strong Aussie delegation, the lineup includes performances by What So Not, GANZ, Hermitude, L D R U, and Golden Features among a grip of others. Electronic music will be well-represented at this year’s edition of Splendour, with acts like Duke Dumont, Years & Years, and Lido all slated to perform as well.

Dominated by rock and electronic acts from At The Drive In to Slumberjack, Splendour in the Grass is keeping Australia’s festival circuit on the map with a huge forthcoming installment this July 22-24.
