Watch This: Diplo’s ‘Revolution’ used in new Bernie Sanders’ ad

As primary season in the United States ramps up towards its conclusion and the general election in November, candidates across the political spectrum are pulling out all the stops to engage the populace and gain voters. One of the most common moves involves candidates rallying their famous supporters to parlay their influence and fame into more exposure.

That leads to the somewhat strange pairing of Diplo and Bernie Sanders. The electronic music tastemaker has not been shy about voicing his support for the Vermont senator on Twitter and now he has allowed Sanders’ campaign to use one of his tracks in a new ad. Entitled “It’s a Revolution,” in an on-the-nose way the ad makes liberal use of Diplo’s similarly named hit “Revolution (feat. Faustix & Imanos and Kai).” Unsurprisingly, given its soundtrack, the ad highlights Sanders’ youthful supporters and the grassroots nature of his campaign. The ad is available to watch above.
