Watch the trailer for the Flying Lotus-scored film, ‘LoveTrue’
Just in time for Tribeca, filmmaker Alma Har’el has released the trailer for LoveTrue, a new film scored by Flying Lotus, and executive produced by Shia LaBeouf. The trailer is an arresting glimpse into the documentary which follows three real life relationships. The stories Har’el has chosen deconstruct the fantasy of true love as she interviews musicians, dancers, and even children on the topic.
Har’el’s visionary approach to documentaries often involves surreal dance and music sequences that evoke a meditative state. If his work thus far is any indication, the Flying Lotus treatment should add a dreamlike touch to the film.
On Saturday, April 16, Har’el will sit down with actor Michael Cera for an interview about her poetic process and unique vision. Har’el will also share portions of the film, which will debut in Tribeca’s Documentary Competition during the festival. The event is free to attend and more information can be found on the festival’s website.
