Listen to Flume’s new collaboration with Vic Mensa, ‘Lose It’

Flume’s sophomore album Skin sits just under a week away from release, and the anticipation surrounding the record is deafening. Since unveiling “Never Be Like You,” the collaboration with Canadian singer Kai that served as the album’s first single, we’ve been treated to four official releases from Skin, including “Wall Fuck,” “Say It,” and “Smoke and Retribution.” Now, thanks to Australian radio station Triple-J, fans will get a chance to listen to the other 12 tracks on Skin before its official release on May 27.

On May 22, Flume sat down with Triple J’s Richard Kingsmill for an “in-depth preview” of the upcoming LP, featuring a trove of unreleased material and interviews with Flume himself. The first new track to hit the airwaves in the wake of the show is “Lose It,” a riotous collaboration with Chicago rapper Vic Mensa that takes Flume’s signature pop sensibilities and experimental sound design and fits them to Mensa’s bellicose verse work. The result is a bombastic future bass beat that’s as white hot as anything Flume has ever put out.

Listen to “Lose It” below, and stay tuned for new material from Skin as it’s released.
