Missy Elliott – WTF feat. Pharell Williams (Jax Jones Remix)

Missy Elliott made a welcome return to music as 2015 drew to a close with “WTF.” The song, which featured Pharell Williams on assisting duties, played out like a classic piece by the female rapper, with quirky verses recited in her boisterous manner and a chunky background soundtrack.

Big Beat signee Jax Jones saw an opportunity to re-work the original into a vintage-esque canvas. His instrument of choice is the bass guitar, which he uses to craft a catchy remix filled with danceable riffs and hints of drums that make the listener feel as though they are listening to the track during the height of the funk era.
