Moog reissues Minimoog Model D synthesizer
Moog Music announced in September 2015 that the company was discontinuing production of the iconic Minimoog Voyager. The synthesizer was first launched in 2002 as a replacement to the original Minimoog synth, produced from 1970 to 1981 and known as the Minimoog Model D (models A-C were prototypes).
Good news for nostalgic fans, however — Moog Music will be reissuing a “pilot-production run” of the original Minimoog Model D at North Carolina’s Moogfest 2016, where the synthesizers will be built and sold at the Moog Pop-Up Factory. They will be available for on-site purchase only at the Moog Store by Guitar Center at the festival.
Check out the video for more information on the impending production run.
