‘Rave-style events’ may be banned from San Bernardino, CA

As Los Angeles County continues to push out electronic dance music events, the neighboring city of San Bernardino looks into following suit with a new ban. Headed by the County Supervisor Janice Rutherford, the ruling would prevent “rave-style events” from being held at the San Manuel Amphitheatre in Devore, CA.

Residents of the venue’s surrounding area say that such events, like Insomniac’s Nocturnal Wonderland and Beyond Wonderland, produce an increase in noise, traffic, and drug-related deaths and incidences. Voting for the ban will commence on May 24, and if enacted, will damage the relationship that Insomniac and Live Nation have with the venue.

Rival event production company HARD has announced a new location for this year’s HARD Summer Music Festival, located even further out from Los Angeles in Fontana, CA.
