Pete Tong signs on as music supervisor for new Netflix dance music film

Pete Tong has joined forces with new Netflix-backed dance music film, XOXO to serve as the project’s music supervisorThe film, which shares the narrative of six strangers who meet at an electronic music festival, is set for an August 26 release on Netflix.

XOXO is directed by Christopher Louie, written by Dylan Meyer, and stars Graham Phillips (Evan Almighty and Ben 10: Race Against Time), Sarah Hyland (Modern Family) and Chris D’Elia.

Whereas 2015 revolved around the Zac Effron’s We Are Your Friends, 2016 will inevitably be the year of XOXO. With Tong’s past experience as a music supervisor for Harry Brown, The Beach, 24 Hour Party People and It’s All Gone Pete Tong, it is likely that XOXO will see a brighter future than its beleaguered predecessor.
