Dates for 2017 EXIT Festival announced

Celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Summer of Love in 1967, EXIT Festival has announced it will run from July 6-9 in 2017 for its 17th installment.

“The Summer of Love symbolizes the beginning of the hippie movement that changed contemporary music forever and gave birth to modern music festivals, whose aim was to fight for peace and to change the world through music and celebration of life, said EXIT festival founder Dušan Kovačević. Similar to the United States’ iconic peace movement, the Balkan region also experienced a fight for peace and freedom led by youth resistance a decade-and-a-half ago. Kovačević maintains he feels it a human duty to spread the same message of peace and resistance, especially in today’s world.

The festival will take place at the Petrovaradin fortress in Novi Sad, a city in northern Serbia. Tickets to the festival can be purchased here. While the line up for 2017 has still not been announced, this year’s festival featured artists like Skrillex, The Prodigy, George Clinton, Ellie Goulding, Gramatik, Richie Hawtin, Solomun, and more.
