Dave Clarke involved in a serious car accident in Serbia
Legendary techno tastemaker Dave Clarke was involved in a serious car accident in Serbia while returning from Exit Festival the weekend of July 7. The accident prompted the artist to seek medical care after his car hit a lamp post and landed on the other side of a dual carriageway.
In a Facebook post describing the incident, Clarke wrote, “I was snoozing in the back of the car to wake up being launched into the air, hitting a lamp post, and landing on the other side of the dual carriageway. Luckily we didn’t hit another car.” Thankfully, the driver and passenger survived, although the car underwent irreparable damage. Clarke was able to flag down a passing motorist and make his flight to Amsterdam Airport Schipol, where he was examined by doctors and specialists in the Dutch capital.
He followed up later, reporting, “So far so good. But I am in a lot of pain in my neck, back, chest and arms. I dread the next few days/weeks. Really angry too, livid, perhaps that is good, weeks ahead of back specialists but I am alive.”
