Feed Me shares ‘What It Feels Like’ ahead of new EP

Jon Gooch, or Feed Me as he is most well-known, typically resides on the darker side of electronic music, fashioning the kind of cunning productions that have placed him among the most sought-after artists in the dance world. His primary focus thus far of 2016 has been his alter ego Spor, where he released a 5-track EP filled with intriguing drum ‘n’ bass creations, consistent with the quality of work that brought him to fame in the first place.

Gooch has now resurrected his Feed Me alias for a new project as the second half of the year commences. The new 8-track EP, Family Reunion, will officially surface on July 8, with Jon sharing a taste of what to expect with the erratic “What It Feels Like.”

The offering is quite atypical of his sound. Collaborating with Nina Nesbitt, the resulting composition is light in tone and overwhelmingly sentimental in nature, as Nesbitt’s husky voice urges us to slow down among optimistic synth chords and a smooth 4/4 kick. Ultimately, the single remains a formidable venture into indie electronic space, and yet another testament to his artistic ability.
