ZHU – Hometown Girl (Original Mix)

Item Image

ZHU’s debut album GENERATIONWHY, is less than five days away from release. The enigmatic LA producer is slowly unveiling its first singles to allow fans a taste of the full body of work. Alongside previously released collaborations such as “Working For It” with Skrillex and “In The Morning” with Kaskade, he’s also previewed new originals including the album’s title track and retro single “In The Palm Of My Hand.”

New song “Hometown Girl” rounds out the bulk of new material dropped ahead of GENERATIONWHY. Zhu follows a similar structure to “Palm Of My Hand,” wrapping a slow tempo with ’80s-inspired guitar riffs and forlorn vocals about passion fading between two loved ones. The song continues the trend of classically-inspired sounds — which seems to be a central theme of ZHU’s album — making us even more curious to hear the full story upon its release this Friday.
